Weekend Itinerary

We know Pantelleria isn’t exactly around the corner — for anyone, really — but we’re thrilled to give you the perfect excuse for a little early-summer escape! It may take a plane, a car, and possibly a small miracle to get there, but once you arrive, we promise you’ll be well taken care of. Whether you’re coming for a day, a weekend, or the full Mediterranean experience, we’ve got you covered.

To help you plan your trip (and get excited), here’s a sneak peek of what’s in store.

Thursday

A soft launch into island mode

〰️

A soft launch into island mode 〰️

For those landing on Thursday or earlier, we’ll kick things off with a cinema night under the stars at a private dammuso — think Guadagnino vibes, wood-fired pizza, bare feet, and a glass of something cold.

While this event is on schedule, please do not feel like it’s part of the official plan. This is more of a teaser for those who will have landed already, for everyone else: no pressure!

Let us know if you’re coming by letting the bride or groom know (but better to tell the bride, you know how these things go…)

Friday

Welcome Lunch, Long Dinner, Longer Night.

〰️

Welcome Lunch, Long Dinner, Longer Night. 〰️

We can’t wait to welcome all our favorite people to one of our most beloved spots on the island, Lago Venere, for a laid-back welcome lunch and drinks, followed by gelato, music, and spontaneous dips in the lake. The groom, in particular, has his heart set on a proper mud bath—apparently the secret to his beauty routine and glow—so please come prepared with a bathing suit, a towel and wear plenty of sunscreen. Don’t worry about bringing anything else… literally.

ADDRESS: Trattoria DA PINA,Via Lago, Pantelleria

TIME: From 12 p.m. until 4 p.m.

LOGISTICS: A car park can be found right in front of the trattoria.

DRESS CODE: “Lini e Costumi” [linen shirts and bathing suits, keep it simple!]

***

As the sun begins to dip, we’ll head to the famous restaurant La Vela for a proper Pantesco dinner, before ending the night at the iconic Kaya Kaya

NOTE: Some dancing might be envisioned…

ADDRESS: La Vela, Via dello Scalo 31, Scauri

TIME: 7 p.m. until late night

DRESS CODE: A night in Sicily (aka: whatever you like—think linen, flat shoes, and a coral accessory if you must—just keep it local). Heels are strictly forbidden, mostly because we’d rather you didn’t twist an ankle, fail to find a hospital, and accidentally steal the thunder…

LOGISTICS: If you’d rather be independent, you may park your car by La Vela. From there, Kaya Kaya is a five minute walk.

If you’d rather forget about responsibilities, say no more - we’ve got you covered.

Please meet the transfer here at 6.30 pm and be on time.

Shuttles will start bringing guests back to the car park at the end of the dinner.

Saturday

As an alternative and if you’d like a little adventure, follow the bride on a short hike in the Fairy Woods (at least the name is promising…) to sweat out the previous night’s enthusiasm. This will be a 1 hour hike through the woods of the National Park of Pantelleria, a beautiful Mediterranean oasis overlooking the sea.

We already know this option will be for a few brave souls, but let’s keep the bride’s hopes alive until the end.

If you’re headed for the hike, wear some comfy shoes, plenty of sunscreen and make sure to stay hydrated. Your re-energized body (and the bride) will thank you later. For those interested, the bride will make sure to give you more details later!

It goes without saying you can also enjoy the island on your own and keep discovering the beautiful corners it offers (take a look at L’Arco dell’Elefante - which inspired the watercolour for our save the date - or go for a nice dive at Balata dei Turchi, among many other places).

And then — showtime! At 5.15 p.m., we’ll meet in Scauri and whisk you away to the wedding location, where we’ll say “I do” (again) and dance until sunrise. Don’t worry about logistics — shuttles will bring everyone back to Scauri starting at 1 a.m. (though we hope the shuttles will be empty at that time…) until late night, so all you need to think about is how to keep your glass full of Zibibbo and Passito.

DRESS CODE: All shades of white [yes you read it well: from ivory to cream, from off-white to pearl]. Again, heels are strictly forbidden for your own good [there may be a vaguely pagan ceremony and some dancing on rooftops involved, so best to watch your step.]

MEET UP HERE for the transfer at 5.15 p.m Please, be on time.
